UPDATE:
My last production,The Ballad of Emmett Till (Fountain Theatre) was honored recently with four LA Stage Ovation Awards in the following category: Best Production, Best Director, Best Acting Ensemble, and part of the Best Season award for the Fountain Theatre. Emmett Till has also recently been nominated for four Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Awards, including Production of the Year and Best Acting Ensemble. Recently, we were able to do a concert staged reading for the Broad Stage's Classic and Contemporary American Plays series last month, to great acclaim.
Currently, I am conducting workshops in theatre arts, audition techniques and playwriting with elementary, middle and high school children. Recent projects include the August Wilson Residency Project, in which I teach the entire Century Cycle to students from Compton High and LA High School of Visual Arts, the Middle School Playwriting Project for eighth graders, as well as voice and diction for the Los Angeles High School for the Arts.
